Our History

L’Héritage Français was founded in 1998, starting as a single classroom by a small group of parents and community leaders endeavored to establish a private school based on French-English bilingualism and character development.

Over the years, the school campus has changed locations to accommodate the growing student body from Downey to Whittier and in 2017 settling in La Habra, Ca.

The school has grown since to gradually incorporate Preschool, Kindergarten and Grades 1- 6.

We boast a large, beautiful, light and bright campus, with all the amenities needed for a positive learning environment.

Today, students come to this school not only for the warm, nurturing environment and quality bilingual education it provides, but also to learn compassion, respect, responsibility, and a sense of community…

a foundation that will serve them for life.

Principal's Welcome / Mot de la Directrice

Hello!

I would like to introduce myself. My name is May Si and it is with great honor that I am the Principal of L’Héritage Français (LHF). LHF is a private, secular French Immersion preschool and bilingual French/English elementary school for Kindergarten through grade six.

Our teaching staff is dynamic, professional and dedicated to each student’s success. Because bilingualism is such an important part of our curriculum our French teaching staff are all native French speakers.

We proudly boast small teacher-student ratios in all our classes. Available to all our students is the bilingual library, computer classroom, science lab, beautiful multi-purpose room for indoor Physical Education, tricycle courtyard, and a large playground with a covered gazebo for outdoor snack and lunchtime.

L’Héritage Français is an international school where our staff and students come from all backgrounds, different cultures and ethnicities. We provide an environment where the primary goal of the staff, teachers and parents is the success of our students.
